It must be almost impossible to use the iPod on a bus with all those people around! Some clever person/company needs to come up with a case that shields the iPod from the nasty interference.

I finally got around to googling what the heck was wrong with my iPod- the volume was changing randomly, especially when I was in public. I now understand! The worst of it occurs during my bus ride commute so I also know that it’s not just my phone, it’s everybody else’s too. Ugh! Good to know why this happens but so frustrating after paying so much for my video iPod.

Sorry to hear that you have been having these problems with the iPod. Did you ever have any previous iPods that had this problem at all? Do you think you might be taking this up with Apple especially since it actually causes you discomfort?

this is definately for real. I have the new Ipod Video, and now and then if I am not careful, if my Sony Ericsson phone is in the same pocket I will get a blast to my eardrums which have on occassion forced me to rip the earbuds out and leave a sting in my ears for a minute. I love my ipod, but if they come up with a fix for this i would rather exchange it.
